Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts exhibits all 36 different types of crafts of Ishikawa prefecture. Visitors can feel and observe the traditional skills developed over the centuries in this region. In the permanent exhibition, objects are classified into such groups as “Clothes,” “Food,” “Houses,” “Praying,” “Festivals.” Our special exhibitions introduce inspiring works from around the country. At our museum shop, visitors can feel and touch the crafts, handmade by local artisans. Here, you can enjoy the beauty, sophisticated skills, and spirit of preserving the traditional crafts, developed through history and culture, as well as the new suggestions for ways to connect the traditional and modern lives.
